The good thing about El is he’s so humble and down to earth not full of himself like any celebrity.I think he was never meant to be a major pop star,he’s too good for that. He’s meant to share his God given talent with us in a close and personal way, thats what he’s doing.I apprecaite being small circle of fans, its like a precious treasure we share. He knows he is appreciated and loved, money nad success aint everything. He has nothing to prove to anybody really.Just wish he puts his health together

@DeBargemusic I read an interview back when he was doing every station before 2nd chance release where the journalist was a harcore fan and knew every song from his solo albums. So he talked about broken dreams being his favourite and how underrated those albums were.He asked El what happened with the promo and he actknowledge that he managed to record in studio but then the labels were not 100% behind the projects due to his drug use and that he did understand them in some way.yeah its a shame

  3. DeBargemusic says:

@fede4real I suppouse, Good point. It just reminded me abit of the gemini album. Motown got one single out with good promo but when the album came out they stopped bothering promoting the actual CD. Then again like you say. El could of been not co-operating too. End of the day its a shame that the Second chance cd didnt have more singles out :/

  4. fede4real says:

I’ve heard he was trying to convince them to release at least another single,Close to you but it couldnt be.He is obligated to keep promoting second chance in his gigs, still in stores though but major promo for the album is cancelled

  5. fede4real says:

@DeBargemusic he performed then a few gigs then started not showing up or highetc so they definately dropped him off the roster.Thats basically the situation. We love him back and yes the album is Awesome but no Interscope fault lets be realistic

  6. fede4real says:

@DeBargemusic the whole situation was a mess, unfortunately El was not up to the comitment needed for such promotion. He entered rehab when he was suposed to recieve a grammy, shoot new singles you talk about, and cancelled tour.Dont blame Interscope they used every resource available to bring him back, hottest producers around, hiphop colabs, stylist, radio,tv show, magazines, stores, gigs…he just fucked it all up BIG time.Hardcore EL fan here but thats fact. When out rehab they put him on hold 2 c

  7. DeBargemusic says:

Why do record companies always seem to let el down when the album comes out. Good on interscope for giving him a record deal and the promotion was great but soon as second chance came out there was no other were singles released. So many tunes from the CD like this one, Heaven, 5 seconds, Close to you all could of done well in the charts :(

They need a great video to go with this great song! Geez!!!
    Why didn’t they?
Then we can SWITCH up the FORMAT!!!!! And you can get this message to me!
They also need a LONGER version of this and a sweet REMIX! Hope eventually!

El, just in case you see this, know that we are praying for your recovery. Please don’t go back down that dark drug path again. So many people are counting on you to pull through this. I hope that you can overcome it this time. We all have setbacks but it is a matter of getting up and not letting up the fight to reclaim yourself.
