Raekwon did good work on Cuban Linx pt 2. He’s trying to keep it alive but it’s no commercialized hiphop so it won’t be popular to the mainstream crowd… Shame though as people like him make real rap/hiphop.

Hip hop has been dead since about 2005, but it is slowly coming back tho. Alot of vet artists that haven’t put out much music over the last 4-5 years are coming back out this year. Lets see these wack ass mc’s like lil Wayne maintain after real hip hop starts dropping week after week again. Bone is back, Wu is back, Slaughterhouse is here, 8-ball & MJG, Cypress Hill……..shit about to be on again! Just give a little time & watch.
I feel ya, I’m the same way. I listen to EVERYBODY, I don’t give a fuck where you from, I listen to ANY good music! But these niggas like Lil Wayne, souljagirl, kayne, etc dont have no sort of lyrical talent at all.
